SLJ Week 1 Activity 1

LI: To collect materials needed to successfully complete our weekly superpower building missions with Nano Girl.

This morning LS2 worked in groups with Room 5 to help us create our first Summer Learning Journey . PBS are still at school this week so finding some of the materials we needed for our treasure hunt was easy. Our challenge is going to be able to find all the materials we need at home now. I found this activity fun, because I am looking forward to completing these activities.  Did you find this activity easy and fun?

    2. Kia ora Fiona,
Thank you for your positive comment and asking a question that I would love to answer. The things that were substitute were tin cans and a tube. Once again thank you.

  2. Kia Ora Mercy,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey, it is awesome to see your first post of the summer and I look forward to seeing more as you continue blogging! I thought this activity was awesome as you had to use your creativity to find substitutes for items you might not have had. I think your video is really cool, your voice over was very clear and explained the activity and what you did well and I liked that you took turns talking which was very inclusive and let everyone in your team have a turn. I would like to know more about what items you found and what substitutes you found? I know from other posts I have read a lot of people had to come up with some crazy substitute for a paper towel roll, my favourite was rolling cardboard into a roll and seletoaping it together.

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates
